The Atomix App now offers an advanced order splitting feature, giving users more control and flexibility in managing their shipments. This functionality addresses two common scenarios in order fulfillment:

1.Partial Fulfillment for Mixed Stock Status

When an order contains both in-stock and out-of-stock items, users can now split the order to ensure timely delivery of available products. This feature allows:

  • Immediate shipment of in-stock items

  • Delayed shipment of out-of-stock items once inventory arrives

  • Improved customer satisfaction through faster partial delivery

  • Better inventory management and reduced order backlogs

2.Multiple Shipments for Large Orders

For orders too large to fit in a single box, Atomix now enables splitting into multiple shipments:

  • Divide oversized orders into manageable portions

  • Optimize packaging and shipping costs

  • Accommodate customers who prefer partial fulfillment while awaiting full inventory

How It Works:

  1. Order Review: Identify orders eligible for splitting based on stock status or size.

  2. Split Decision: Choose to split the order manually or let Atomix suggest optimal splitting.

  3. Shipment Creation: Generate separate shipments for each part of the split order.

  4. Tracking: Monitor and manage each shipment individually within the original order context.

Scenario 1: One item is available, while the other is out of stock

Scenario 2: Order quantity significantly exceeds available inventory

Important Note: Once we split ship an order the order will still appear under "Processing" status till the remaining Out of Stock order has been shipped out.

Benefits:

  • Increased fulfillment efficiency

  • Enhanced customer satisfaction

  • Improved inventory turnover

  • Reduced shipping delays and backorders

The order splitting feature in Atomix provides a powerful tool for businesses to streamline their fulfillment process, adapt to inventory challenges, and meet diverse customer needs.
